Michael Brook (Chemistry; Killam Fellow 2003-04), a senior researcher and international leader in the area of silicon chemistry and silicon-based materials, has had longstanding collaborations with Brennan, Pelton, Li and Sheardown. His research on interfacial control for biomedical applications (including development of silicone elastomers for improved biocompatibility and drug delivery, and development of synthetic strategies to create high molecular weight silicones with explicit structural control) depends critically on the requested HT synthesis, HT screening, surface characterization, biointerface activity, and modeling and informatics infrastructure.
