Overview
- Two General Purpose Incubators (VWR; 97058-220, Model 1546) offer precise, digital, temperature control. Constructed with a heated outer door and an inner clear door, samples may be viewed without compromising temperature uniformity. The stainless steel interior reduces the risk of contamination. It is located in the BSL-2 bacterial culture lab.
- Two CO2 Incubators (Panasonic/Sanyo; MCO-19AIC) have copper enriched stainless steel interiors, capable of incubating samples up to 50oC, with precise CO2 control (0-20%). With an interior humidifying pan, the unit may reach 95% relative humidity when at 37oC. The unit is equipped with the SafeCell UV system and alarms for door ajar, temperature, CO2 and humidity. It is located in the BSL-2 mammalian culture lab.
- Microplate Orbital Shaking Incubator (VWR Symphony; 12620-930) operates at temperatures up to 65oC, either continuously or for set times of 1 s to 9999 minutes, and speeds between 100 and 1200 rpm. It is designed to fit up to 4 microplates or two tube racks for 1.5-2 mL microtubes.
- Two MaxQ 8000 Incubating and Refrigerated Orbital Shakers (Thermo Fisher) may function continuously or from 0.1 to 999 hours, at speeds ranging from 15 to 500 rpm, and temperatures ranging from 10oC to 80oC. The unit is equipped with a universal platform ensuring compatibility with culture tubes, Erlenmeyer flasks, and microplates. It is located in the BSL-2 bacterial culture lab.
