The goal of the Biointerfaces Institute (BI) is to implement high-throughput research techniques to investigate the nature of the biological/material interface, or biointerface.
We are located on the 4th floor of the Engineering Technology Building (ETB, building 56). The BI lab space is shown in blue, and the office space in purple.
The BI is divided into five instrumentation suites, which are managed by BI Technicians. Most BI laboratories are designated as Biosafety Level (BSL)-1, but two culture laboratories are BSL-2 (ETB 420 and 425). Explore the suites below or explore an alphabetical list of instrumentation. Usage of BI space and equipment is fee-based.
